The Company

Tropic Sail started life as Magnetic Palms Islands Rent A Yacht in 1998.

Since that time the company has seen hundreds of people go home with relaxed and happy smiles on their faces after spending a week or more sailing amongst these beautiful & uncrowded islands.

The owners of Tropic Sail are Shaun Watson and Wendy Keller.

Shaun has lived in Townsville for two decades and brings over 20 years of sailing experience to the business through his love of not only cruising but also yacht deliveries and racing regattas. Shaun has also spent years as a dive master in and around these beautiful world heritage areas. Anything that you need answered on sailing your vessel to best anchorages and snorkelling spots - Shaun can help you out.

Wendy was born and raised in the tropical north and has worked in the tourism industry in Townsville for the last decade. If you require any information on accommodation, activities or the best place to dine out - ask Wendy. She can help you arrange everything from picking you up from the airport to booking you a massage to get you in holiday mode.

Both Shaun and Wendy are committed to giving their visiting guests a holiday experience they will never forget. They both believe it's the little things that count and will do as much as possible to make you feel at home. These being just some of the reasons they recently won a 2008 North Queensland Tourism Award for Unique Accommodation.
