Michel and his attentive staff will look after you like you have been coming there for years. Flinders StreetDiscover the latest redevelopment along Flinders Street East - a mix of funky nightclubs, bars and restaurants housed in beautiful heritage buildings. Try Molly Malones for great Irish pub fare at regular pub prices and of course - your favourite Irish beers. Also along this street you will come across a popular Chinese restaurant and an assortment of takeaway spots -such as The Funky Bun. Cross the road at the top of Flinders Street East into the city mall and you will step directly into The Brewery which has been made famous for brewing its own distinct blends of beer - many which have won awards. The StrandThe Strand also has a wide variety of choice if dining out and has the added benefit of overlooking gorgeous Magnetic Island. If it's a front row seat you're after then a locals favourite is the C Bar for a laid back feel and fare. Serious meat eaters will find plenty of steak sizzling at the Seaview Hotel and plenty of cold beer to wash it down with. Take a walk down adjoining Gregory Street to find takeaway food such as fish & chips, kebabs, pizzas and hamburgers or sit down with a cappuccino and cake at one of the many funky cafes to watch Townsville life go by. Keep walking along the strand and you will bump into a favourite locals' waterhole and restaurant - the Watermark, or if authentic Greek food is more to your liking then the Odyssey cafe across from the Rock-pool is the place to go.
